Anthony Morrow Has Been One Of The Few Bright Spots Out West

January 26, 2009 – 5:10 pm by Michael Bean

There haven’t been many reasons to smile in the Bay Area, but if there is one thing the Golden State Warriors can be pleased about so far this year has been the emergence of shooting guard Anthony Morrow.  Golden State is in a huge hole at 14-31 but they at least have discovered a legitimate deep threat in Morrow. The undrafted rookie free agent out of Georgia Tech is hitting 50% from downtown, tops in the league. Listen to Morrow on KNBR 680 Monday as he talks about his sweet stroke and the team’s recent (slight) improvement.  As the league’s top 3-point shooter, it’s likely he’ll get a call for All Star weekend and the 3-point contest. Morrow sure hopes so:

”It would be huge. Huge. I’m praying I get in. If I don’t I don’t. But if I do, I really feel I can win it..Keep campaigning [for me]..both of y’all.’
