Video And Analysis Of The Super Bowl Commercials

Half of the people watching (meaning mostly women and men that aren’t sports fans), watch the Super Bowl just for the commercials.  Many college advertising and marketing classes make it a requirement to watch the Super Bowl commercials and then discuss them the next day in class.

My wife actually gets upset that she can’t go to the bathroom during commercial breaks because she gets so excited for the Super Bowl commercials.  The hype on creative for these commercials is huge leading up to the Super Bowl and in my mind they inevitably disappoint.

Sunday night was no different.  After the first set of commercials, I was really optimistic, but then the commercials sort of fizzled.

There were four commercials I really liked and one I despised.  The commercials that made me laugh were the Dorito’s Crystal Ball, The Bud Light commercial where they threw the guy out the window, the Denny’s commercial with the gangsters, and the Taco Bell commercial where the guy introduced the girl to his parents.

By far the most annoying commercial was the Career Builder repetitive spot.  Maybe they want to be remembered for that as it’s better than not being remembered at all.
