Hall of Famer Thurman Thomas on the new Buffalo Bills HOF Inductees

February 3, 2009 – 5:56 am by Michael Bean

Buffalo Bills Hall of Fame RB Thurman Thomas, who played in four Super Bowls during the 1990s, joined WGR on Monday to talk about the induction of owner Ralph Wilson and DL Bruce Smith to the Professional Football Hall of Fame. Before talking about their inductions on Saturday, Thomas talked about the thrilling game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals, calling it one of the top-five Super Bowls ever played.  Among other things, Thomas commented on some of the decision making involved in the game (the decision to kick a FG from the 1 foot line most notably) while praising Steelers coach Mike Tomlin in the process.

‘We really been talking a lot this year about Mike Tomlin.  I just think that he’s an outstanding coach. Really hard on his players. I think that Tomlin made the right call getting those three points.’
