Adam Morrison, recognizable from his famous college days lighting it up at Gonzaga, was finally given an opportunity to remind hoops fans who he is. Morrison was traded this weekend from the obscure Charlotte Bobcats franchise to the NBA leading Los Angeles Lakers. The 70s porn star look alike was only averaging 4.5 points per game in just 15.2 minutes of action, but he might find himself a niche within the Lakers offense as a spot-up shooter thanks to all the attention Kobe Bryant commands when he has the basketball. Listen to Morrison talk to KLAC on Tuesday about the arriving in LA, whether or not he was happy with his role in Larry Brown’s system in Charlotte, and how his knee is holding up after missing all of last year injured.
I was particularly impressed with his bluntness when describing the toughest adjustment to the NBA game and his defense.
“The biggest adjustment for me is obviously defensively. You know just the overall talent of the players. Defensively trying to keep guys in front of me and not be such a liability to my teammates on the floor when ‘m on that end of the floor.”
