Virtual Erin Andrews Is Still Hot, Awesome
April 24, 2009 – 7:45 am by Will BrinsonErin Andrews is continually expanding her role with ESPN and sports media. This year, she’s going to be all up in the NFL Draft and apparently has been meeting with the big-wigs at ESPN to plan for their draft coverage.
Additionally, she’ll be appearing in NCAA Football 2010 as a sideline reporter. Virtual Erin Andrews. Ro-wr. So, naturally, people want to talk to her, and she obliged, appearing on the radio earlier to talk internet chatter, her love of sports, the new video game and preparing for the NFL Draft. SMOKESCREEN!
On being the sideline reporter in a video game:
“It’s pretty cool, right? Who doesn’t want that as their gig?”
On her role in the game:
“There’s a major mode that I’m involved in the game, we’re not releasing that yet. They’re coming out with it on July 14th, like I said – it’s a pretty big-time mode and I’m very excited about it but can’t really say what it is yet.”
On mock drafts changing constantly:
“It was interesting – this is my first time being involved with the draft. And it was interesting listening to Mel and Mort and Todd McShay talking about the smokescreens that certain teams put up. Yo uknow, what Mel’s sources are saying, what Mort’s sources are saying if they really like a guy or they don’t – it’s so funny, it’s a brainwash psychology going on.”
On her job:
“I have a blast. I think the one thing that kind of gets forgotten with all the internet chatter and I stick out a little bit with being a tall girl and a female on the sidelines is that I’m a pretty big tomboy that loves sports, and who wouldn’t love sitting in the meeting I was in today with all the NFL minds and just listening to all the chatter.”
