Let’s Hear From Minnesota Vikings Legend Chris Carter

We recently heard from one of Brett Favre’s favorite targets during his hey day in Green Bay, Antonio Freeman. Now let’s hear from Chris Carter, who was racking up stats against Favre’s teams when he was a Minnesota Viking en route to a Hall of Fame career. Carter joined KFAN on Wednesday to talk about the latest chapter of the Brett Favre saga.
Does Carter think it’s a 100% done deal that Favre will be the starting QB in Minneapolis come Septemeber?
“Wow, I don’t know about that. Bus Cook, his agent, said that as far as he knew, Brett Favre was still retired, so I’d say I need to see him sign. I need to see the press conference because I think Brett could change his mind a couple of times again. It’s a very strange, strange situation.”
His thoughts on how Favre has proven unable to just walk away from the game:
“He’s earned the right to waffle. This game, unless you’ve played this game, when you walk it away, it’s hard, it’s not like you’re a musician and you can play again one day. I mean, when you’re done, you’re done. When you’re out of the league. You’re out of the league. There’s nothing like this game. There’s no replacement, man, come on. You talking about going down to the farm to sit on the farm and you’re going from being an NFL quarterback – that’s your substitute? Come on, now, stop. Don’t kid me so much. There’s just no replacement.”
