Paul Allen Is Still Celebrating the Seahawks Monday Night Miracle
September 26, 2012 – 9:45 am by Chris FedorWhile everyone in Seattle was celebrating a Monday Night Football win over the Packers, the rest of the world was wondering how the referees missed calling a clear interception for Green Bay, and instead ruled it a touchdown for Seattle’s Golden Tate. It was chaos, and the replacement referees just showed once again that they don’t belong on an NFL football field. It’s not really their fault. They are ill-equipped to officiate such a high-level game. Everyone saw this coming. Luckily, according to reports this morning, it appears the end of the officials’ lockout is near.
Paul Allen joined KJR in Seattle with Dave “Softy” Mahler to talk about whether he has ever seen anything like the ending of the Seahawks-Packers game on Monday night, where he was when Golden Tate caught the Hail Mary and the replacement officials.
Whether he has ever seen anything like the ending of the Seahawks-Packers game:
Where he was when Golden Tate caught the Hail Mary:
“I was up in my suite watching nervously. (Host: Did you think it was a catch at first?) I thought it had a chance, and then you wait for the official and these days there’s a little uncertainty there.”
On the replacement officials:
“It’s an unfortunate situation that we just have to work through and I know the league is working hard in negotiations and it will get resolved. All these things always get resolved and I think we would all prefer it to be sooner rather than later, but you have to let the poeple negotiating at the league level do their work.”
