The New England Patriots finally took care of business in convincing fashion Sunday, crushing the St. Louis Rams at Wembley Stadium in London. And in the process, Brandon Lloyd burned his former team for two touchdowns.
Brandon Lloyd joined Greg Brady on The Fan 590 in Toronto to discuss New England winning convincingly against the Rams, whether the Patriots’ record is deceiving this year because of several close losses and his second London football experience (he played at Wembley with the Broncos in 2010).
On winning in convincing fashion for once:
“My dad always says he likes blowouts. … I think it was more so us doing what we said we were gonna do. We wanted to eliminate all of the unforced errors and mental errors out there, and we did. It was what we talked about all week. And so it was good to go out and do what we said we were gonna do.”
On if their record is deceiving with so many close losses:
“I don’t know. We deserved that. We lost those games fair and square, and if we sit here and say that we didn’t, that would be taking a lot away from our opponents. We lost those games fair and square and we’re doing our best to not do that again.”
On this London experience compared to his last one:
“It was much different because we won this time. And that’s what it really comes down to. You come all the way over here and you get in front of a national audience and you want to put your best foot forward. And so it’s nice to do that this time.”
