Give Hayward credit, he’s only a junior, but he’s a stand-up guy and did an interview with ESPN Radio Milwaukee on Tuesday to discuss what happened.

“Really no other words for that.  I just stepped onto it.  I was far enough back when I started, I ran over (to the other end of the basket) and I was closer than I thought.  I could have sworn I was back far enough.”

On his opinion on if he feels one play can determine a game:

“I would say that definitely was a huge factor.  I’m not going to try to get sympathy for me.  I messed up.  I should have been more intelligent in that situation.  I’m a much more intelligent basketball player than that.”
