Last week here at SRI we revisited the Kevin Garnett/Kris Humphries altercation. Celtics head coach Doc Rivers believed his team was too soft. Paul Pierce contends his coach was trying to motivate the team.

Jason Terry made headlines by tattooing the Larry O'Brien trophy on himself before the Dallas Mavericks won the NBA title in the spring of 2011. Now the guard is at it again in Boston. Terry modified the tattoo to include the Celtics' leprechaun spinning that tattoo instead of a basketball. ...

The Dallas Mavericks didn't exactly defend their NBA Championship like they wanted to last year, and the franchise turned itself in a bit of a different direction during the offseason. The Mavs saw the departure of veteran guards Jason Terry and Jason Kidd and added guys like center Chris Kaman.

Few had the Dallas Mavericks beating the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals. Far fewer, next to no one, had the Mavericks in a sweep. Heck, many people had Dallas -- which closed out the season in less than impressive fashion -- even losing in the first round. ...
