The Baltimore Ravens clearly have every intention of getting younger on defense, and in the secondary in particular. After cutting the high-priced Chris McCallister recently, and with CB Samari Rolle set to most likely join another team, the AFC runner-up made a move on Day 1 of 2009 NFL Free Agency by acquiring Dominique Foxworth, previously of the Denver Broncos and Atlanta Falcons. The soon-to-be 26 year signed a contract for 4 years worth $28 million, $16.5 of which is guaranteed. For someone who got torched non-stop early in his career in Denver, kudos to him for cashing in bigtime first chance he got.

“As soon as he [his agent] said Baltimore, I said stop! Repeat that.  He said Ozzie called and is interested and I said do what you can to make that happen. Whoever else is calling you, whatever else they’re talking about, we’ll deal with that some other time if we have to.”
