Reunited With Peyton Manning, Jacob Tamme Says No. 18 Looks “Very Similar” To How He Did Pre-Injury

Jacobe Tamme is reunited with his Hall of Fame quarterback in Denver, and he and Peyton Manning practiced together for the first time on Monday. The tape reveals that No. 18 looks good early, but Tamme, who spent four seasons with Manning in Indy, would be a great man to compare Manning circa  to Manning circa. Jacob Tamme joined CJ and Kreckman on 102.3 The Ticket in Denver to talk about playing with Manning and how he looks now in comparison to how he looked before a neck injury cost him the season.

On Peyton Manning’s ability to take advantage of defenses:

“Having Peyton Manning making the calls is a pretty big advantage to begin with. No matter whether you’ve got four receivers or three tight ends and a running back or whatever you wanna put out there, that’s part of what makes him great is he knows what to do in any given situation and nobody’s gonna prepare harder. And that’s why I enjoy playing with him, and that’s what I think everybody will enjoy. It’s just a fun way to play, when you know you couldn’t have prepared any harder and you’re gonna go out there and give it everything you’ve got and let the chips fall where they may. So watching him direct an offense is fun and he certainly can help take advantage of those situations.”

On how Manning looks now in comparison to how he did in 2010:

“I’d say he’s very similar. Very comparable to how he’s been playing the last few years.”
